OK… I am now officially suffering from “Summer-Holiday-Isn’t-Starting-For-Another-4-Weeks-But-I-Need-It-To-Start-Right-Now! Fatigue“…

It’s getting harder and harder to drag myself out of bed in the morning, it’s getting equally hard to motivate The Kid to get up. My mornings are filled with rushing everything and pre-summer-holiday stress… rushing The Kid out of bed, get him breakfast, get him to shower and get dressed, drag myself under the shower and get dressed, do my hair and make up and then finally, before rushing off to the car to drive him to school/daycare: get his schoolstuff together, get my office stuff together…

So yesterday morning I had to put some extra stuff in my handbag. I had been sorting it out the night before and the last 2 items to put in there were my sinus spray and the brandnew lipstick I bought yesterday. I put some on, put in in the bag and got all our stuff together and we were off. I dropped The Kid off and rushed to the office… Gah! Another busy day ahead… And I am SO tired of it all… I am thís close to blowing a fuse even walking into the office… without anyone having nagged me about anything… I am usually not like that but I am só ready for summer break… Ugh…

I got thru the morning fairly well. No casualties at the office as a result of my pissy mood, so that was quite an achievement. And I got a lot done, so that was great as well. So when one of my colleagues asked me to come with her for an early lunch I was ready to go! I put my stuff in my locker, got my personnel badge out and then I rummaged thru my bag for the lipstick… Hey… A single chick’s gotta look good wherever she goes, even if it is the personnel restaurant.

So I stuck my arm in the handbag (it’s a deep handbag) and felt around for the lipstick… it was nowhere to be found…

WTF!? I put it in there just this morning… Grmbblll!!!! I swirled my arm thru there again (STFU! The bag doesn’t have separate compartments, that sucks, but it IS the coolest handbag around!)… Nothing… Aaarrrggghhh!!!! To my colleagues dismay I then took the time to turn the whole bag over on her desk and search all the stuff that fell out. Isn’t it amazing the stuff you can fit in just the one handbag? Ha! There was plenty of crap in there but no lipstick… Bugger!

We went to lunch and then I got myself thru the afternoon at the office somehow… I had to check out an hour early because The Kid had an extracurricular activity of his school in the evening and I needed the extra hour to have enough time to rush to daycare, pick up The Kid, rush home, have dinner, and then rush back to the musical school happening he was supposed to attend…

I managed to get out of the office only half an hour early… Shit! So I rushed to daycare, got The Kid’s stuff together, and took him to the car. We talked on the way home about how his day went at school.

The Kid: “Ehm… Mum… when I looked in my backpack at school… I found this thingy in there… I think it was yours…”
DutchBitch: “What thingy?”
The Kid: “Well, ehm… it was some kinda lipstick thingy, I think”
DutchBitch: *blank stare*

Apparently I am reaaaaaallly ready for summer break to start… That shit never happens to me… I am always very organized…

And Holy Crap! OMFG! That must not have scored high on the Cool-O-Meter when The Kid dug that thing up out of his backpack at school… That might have fucked him up for life…

I think Dutch weather skipped a season by mistake…

Somebody fix that, for fuck’s sake! My umbrella is worn out…

Ok, so it’s another news story… Second one in 3 days, but I just had to share this one with y’all, so STFU and read!

UNFIT THIEF ASKS POLICE FOR “TIME OUT”

PHILIPPINES - Police chased down an unfit thief today after he ran out of breath and asked his pursuers for a “time out”.

“He was panting and gasping for air when we caught up with him after a 500 metre sprint,” Erwin Buenceso, one of the arresting officers, said on local radio station dzBB.

Buenceso said the man and an accomplice broke into a house in the Philippine capital and stole two expensive mobile phones. Screams from the residence alerted a local police patrol, which started chasing him.

The robber asked for a “time out” using hand signals.

After he regained his composure, police seized the two stolen phones and took him to a station for questioning.

OMFG! A thief asking for a “time out” while being chased by the cops? LMAO, that must be the one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard! And ehm… Excuse me? “AFTER he regained his composure”? WTF!?!?! He actually gót the time out? I bet that will spread like wildfire and be thé lastest thing in police chasings! Well, as long as the “chasee” is aware of his rights, huh? I guess a time out is one of them these days…

I was going thru the chiefs’ mail today and found a letter in there about a yearly Lecture in Rotterdam. It informed him that this year’s Lecture is to be held on September 28 and he is invited, as always, and would he please put the date in his schedule for now.

This year’s lecture will be about obesity and will be called “XXL, ethical and medical aspects of obesity”

I put the letter in the stuff that he had to go thru this morning and a few hours later I got the stack of mail back with notes on them what to do with ‘m.

The aforementioned letter had a note with two remarks on them:

I’m glad he said it himself… It wasn’t me! This is what I have to work with for a boss…
