The Dutch Files

By the time most of you read this, my ass is in the touring buss filled with 30 foreign participants (yeah, as far as course staff is concerned it’s just me in the bus, the others bolted out of it on me and are travelling on their own terms) travelling to HERE… It feels like my kazillionth trip out there… Yup, Schiermonnikoog again… I am sure you regulars over here can pronounce it by now… right?

Yes, the department is organizing a Clinical Epidemiology Course again. Usually it’s just once a year, but we’ve decided for this once to do an English one for the many non-Dutch colleagues who have been nagging us about it. This is one of the reasons I have been excrutiatingly busy lately… I will be when we’re there as well… 6 days of work from approx 8 a.m. to at least midnight. That’s the fate of the course coordinator.

Even though it’s gonna be busy I am looking forward to it though. Not in the least because it promises to be a great group of participants of whom I’ve known several for over 5 years now. So socially speaking it might be a great one..

Weatherforecast doesn’t look too promising, there’s a storm ahead as well, but that’s ok… I’ll be inside the hotel working anyway. I might go out to get some fresh sea-air though. I am still coughing and the brisk sea-air might just do the trick to get rid of the last touch of that… I hope…
Once I am there and settled and get all of them settled in as well, and working their butts off at the course, I will be around, hopefully giving you a blow by blow report (which might be boring, but deal with it!)

As you may have noticed I didn’t get around to the Dutch-A-Pimpin’ thing yesterday in order to pimp a blog this week. I will be back at it next week, I just didn’t have time to check out the next blog and come up with a good pimpin’ post.
