It Must Be!

Published by DutchBitch at 7:37 am under I'm On To You!, WTF?

So ehm… I was watching the “Madagascar” dvd with The Kid the other night and something dawned on me…

I think we all know the person that the zebra was based upon! We know him very well actually… In fact, I’ve met him…

I mean, look at the signs:

The zebra is kinda goofy…. well, kinda… alottagoofy…

He dreams of giving the zoo director the finger and breaking out into the natural wild…

The story is situated in the Central Park Zoo, in New York…

0_madagascar_marty_600.jpgThe zebra spends part of his time during the day making farting sounds with his armpits…

And how about the way he strutss his stuff on the BeeGee’s “Stayin’ Alive”?

And the ultimate clue: the crazy zebra’s named MARTY!!!

I mean, WTF? What are the odds?

He lives in NY, nobody can say he’s nót goofy, he would love to fuck over his asshole boss and venture out by himself, he was strutting his stuff continuously when we were walking thru Amsterdam when he was here -flirting with the riot police, and well… the armpit thing I’ve never experienced myself but I can SO see him doing it!!!

Yeah, he probably kept things quiet cuz he didn’t want everyone making a fuss over his celebrity status… Well, I outed him now! Marty’s the Man Zebra!

On the other hand… It’s the giraffe Melman that has the Jewish last name… (Mankiewicz)…

And come to think of it… It’s the monkeys that spend their time throwing poo…

I am not pleased that the giraffe was the token Jew. Everyone knows we Jews are short. I think a hippo with red hair would have been more appropos. Red hair and big glasses. And a bottle of Manishevitz. And some Matzoh.

    And a bag from Bloomingdales.

    Geez, I just described myself.

CP: Well, there was a hippo in there. Her name was Gloria and she loved being in the limelight… She couldn’t hold a candle to you though!

We visited the movie store yesterday to get a DVD to watch that night. It was scary how many relatively new releases are friggin’ cartoons…. Famous movie stars don’t have to lose weight and look good for movies anymore- they just do voice-overs….

I love it when a character in a movie reminds me of one of my friends. Then I can poke fun at them!!

  5. Robinon 12 Nov 2007 at 8:00 pm

I don’t watch enough cartoons anymore.

I was thinking that you were thinking of Fab. Right up until you said Marty. I don’t know Marty, so I will have to take your word for it.

It’s all true the giraffe was based on me. Thankfully the royalty checks are coming in.
