OK, it’s here… Today is the day I turn 22! OK, ok, 22+16… I am turning fucking THIRTY-EIGHT today! That’s getting waaaaaay to close for comfort to the big 4-0 in my opinion. Waaaaaaaaay too close!

STFU! I know. Life starts at 40 and shit, yadayadayada… OK, I’ll get over myself for now.

Today it is my birthday, so Happy DutchBitchin Birthday to Me!

Actually today will be a slow day. The Kid is on a skiing trip with The Ex until early next week, so postponed celebrating with the family until he’s back, and I am not celebrating with my friends until Saturday. So I’ll just have my B-day freak in the blogosphere today!!!

How heartbreaking is it when someone you love is in a bad place, hurting…
And all you can do is be there for him online, talking to him…
Telling him that he really is a great person…
And that though it doesn’t feel like it right now, in time, life will be feeling better again…
That you know how he feels, cuz you’ve been in that place at some point in your life too…

And you feel so useless, cuz he’s at the other side of the globe…
And all you really want to do is reach thru your laptop and drag him over here…
So you can hug him and take his pain away…

Distance sucks… a lot…
