Little Angels…
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy is it SO impossible for kids to do anything without making a mess…
Seriously!
It’s either spilling something on their clothes, preferably of some kind of substance that doesn’t wash out… or on the carpet… same thing applies…
Or they are leaving a trail of toys, sweet wrapping, bread crusts and whatever else behind them… And trust me, I walk around the house barefoot a lot and the soles of my feet and the lego of The Kid: not the biggest of friends…
Sometimes motherhood is driving me up the wall, you finish cleaning and clearing up the house at one end and you can already start all over again at the other end. It makes me feel like I potentially could turn into a psycho killer just like thát… And I’ve got a tiny appartment! And just one kid! Sheesh!
Maybe I’ll just make him live on the balcony… yeah, that might be a good idea…

Maybe the kid could wave at housekeepers while out on the balcony

Matt-Man: mental note to self: make him move out at 18
Buff: Gah! Indeed!
LisaB: He better wave that piggy bank with it, cuz I am sure as hell not paying for it!!!

My mom used to always fuss at me for leaving my Jacks (http://www.fatbraintoys.com/toy_companies/channel_craft/jumbo_jacks_tin.cfm) laying around everywhere. In the shag carpet where she would promptly step on them in her barefeet! LOL

Lucy: Yeah, like The Kid keeps his Silly Putty lying around in my carpet…

It doesn’t get any better as they get older. Just ask my mom!

Just lay down a huge tarp to cover the entire floor of your house. Then you can easily clean up by just throwing out the tarp, along with everything that’s accumulated.

Hey!
I just found your blog today and I love it, love it, love it!
I was just ranting to my husband today about this very same thing. I feel like while I’m turned around cleaning up one mess, another one is being created behind me. It is never. Ending.
And the worst thing I can do to my daughter (she’s 2 1/2) leagally, and this is so frustrating, is hope that someday, some little kid does the same thing to her. I’ll have to wait 30 or so years for it, but it will happen. And it will be sweet!
Sorry for such a long comment. I guess I had some stuff to work through, huh?

I always kind of assumed you were already a psycho killer.

Just be glad The Kid isn’t twins! Cleaning up after twin eight year old boys and a 9 year old girl has proven to be more of a challenge than what I’m up for.

Yeah, I’m right there with you. With twin toddlers and 10-month-old, I feel like all I do is pick up after them. Some days? I just say “Fuck it” because it’s not worth going insane. Then, the next day, when I’m behind, I wonder why I took off the day before. AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

This year, cleaning up. Next year, peer pressure, followed by a few years of drama
Some days mommy needs her box of wine…

Or her bottle of lime vodka, MizzTissa. And not for it to fall on her head.
