Dutchyland has this very popular add campaign by the Dutch government called “BoB”. It’s an add campaign with pretty funny adds on TV about being the designated driver (called “BoB”). A way to try and make being the designated driver a cool thing.
As said the campaign is immensely popular in Dutchyland and the advertizers made use of that by putting out (free) merchandise with the campaign. One of those is a keychain with “BoB” on there. The Kid landed himself one of those keychains somehow and it has been hanging off one of the bedposts for ages.
Last Thursday when I had returned from Chapel Hill, I picked him up from school by surprise. We talked in the car on the way home as he wanted to know all about my trip. We got home and The Kid walked into the kitchen and started going thru the drawers…
I asked him what he was looking for and he said that he was looking for a fucking knife! A knife! He found a small one and said that he would be really careful but that he had to do something secret. That I could not see before it was done… I told him to be reaaaaaallly careful. Really really careful…
Ten minutes later he came walking out of his room, put the knife back into the drawer, and handed me this with a huge grin on his face…
Yeah, you can *gag* now, but I for one love him to pieces for it! And it shows how comfortable he is with The Guy and me, which makes me very happy. And you bet your ass that this one is ON my keychain from now on!!!
