Sunday Sunday…

I had a great 2 days with Lill Girlie… I picked her up from her dad’s, The Chief, on Fridayafternoon and headed to the beach with her. It was 28C (82F) over here, and I can happily say that I had my bare nekkid feet in the Dutch seawater with the late afternoon sun burning on my skin for the very first time this year and my heart was singing… Only thing that could have made that better was if I had had The Kid and The Guy with me. I felt blissfully happy for the first time in a long long time. The Guy was right: the sun has a uncanning healing power for some reason…

We bought Lill Girlie an early birthday gift as she will be turning 8 today, we went past the SandCastle display that was going on with “Disney” as its theme [pics at the FlickR page, just click the badge in the sidebar], then had some scrumptious Italian food (and a chilled glass of rosé wine for me) at one of the beach side restaurants, got ice cream and then went home and sat our asses down on the DutchBitch Couch to watch Simpsons The Movie.

Yesterday was babysitting Lill Niece-day. The Sis and The BIL went out for a motorcycle ride and I lathered myself in Baby- and Girliefun all day. Lill Girlie got to ride on the back of The BIL’s motorcycle at the end of the day and I got to send The Chief picks of that on his mobile, heh… Sorry, that one was just too friggin’ good to pass up.

As was the pic of her on top of the shed after The BIL put her up there. She almost pissed herself laughing and all she could say was “Picture picture! Send it to daddy!!!”. Well, who am I to defy the wishes of Lill Girlie, right? I am sure he shat himself between that and the motorcycle pics and still he got me a glass of wine when I dropped Lill Girlie off last night.

I might not be on line as much today as The BIL is installing my new ADSL internet connection. I got rid of my cable internet subscription at Ziggo.cunt and he’s today making a first attempt to install the new stuff. If all goes well, I’ll be fully operational at the end of the day! Cross your… well, you know the drill… everything you can possibly cross…

Thank you for catering to us self-centered Americans by translating the celcius to fareinheit for us. You are awesome!

Looks like fun! I would give anything for 82 degrees. It’s going to be 105 here today and tomorrow. Ugh!

    Have a great day!

I use SPF3000 sunblock. This way I can maintain my near-death pallor.

    Awww, LillGirlie is ADORABLE!!!

And dumb question but what are all those red things on the beach?

  13. DutchBitchon 28 Jul 2008 at 10:23 am 13

BlondeBlogger: I KNOW!! she is, isn’t she? The red things are windscreens behind which people set up their sunchairs.
