Sooo, you all think this ConFab, Baby! thing is going to be all fun & games, huh? Bloggers getting together, friendly conversation, fun to be had by all? To quote the latest Depeche Mode song: WRONG!
Yeah, sure. In the beginning it was all “oooh we are so happy you are coming over, Dutchy!” and “OMG OMG OMG I am so psyched that we finally get to meet up!” kinda stuff… I knew it wouldn’t last. I knew it from the start… Since then, threats and insinuations have been coming my way…
“Someone” threatened to shoot me with his “gun”
“Other * people” are threatening to make me sing karaoke
Nobody threatening to touch me (and dispose of his wife: Mrs Nobody never close your eyes on the ConFab, Baby! trip, not even for a split second! Just sayin’)
Some guy threatening to come over afterall, if his nephew flunks…
Some girl making threats of marrying me off to some redneck man (probably for money)
There have also been “suggestions” for appropriate attire at the party
Tweets from Nobody to Brad that point towards the party ending in a total mess (well, at least he said “please”)
And random displays of violence that will be waiting for me when I come to Lexington apparently
The only one that is promising me TLC is hellohahanarf
So… there you go… if you think this whole ConFab, Baby! thing is going to be a total fun blast… think again… I might have to bring me a bodyguard to the party… I might have to start interviewing soon… Any suggestions on who to hire? Any takers?
