Remember THIS? Yeah, yesterday I had my HLA typing done. Well, I had the blood tapped that they need for HLA typing. Just a few more days, and once they have the typing done, I will finally be in the world wide stem cell/bone marrow donor register. I thought you’d like to know. Ya know, so you are prepared that if you ever get leukemia or summin and you need stem cell transplantation you míght be the one that gets the DutchBitch cells dripped into your veins. How about that, huh?!

I figured as long as I was at the Bloodbank for the HLA typing thing, I might as well do my regular donation as well. What with my latest trips to the US, I have had to postpone donating a few times. I am not sure what kind of risks fraternizing with you lot result into, but apparently, after travelling to the US of A, I can’t donate blood for 28 days. What’s the hell that all about? What fucked up shit is in your atmosphere that the Dutch Blood Bank thinks they need measures like that?

Well, seeing as I hope to travel to the US fairly frequently, I have to plan my donations in between trips, I guess. Because I WILL donate at least 4-6 times/year!

Yesterday the donation went by fairly quickly, without a hitch, as per usual. The bloodbank chick did a great job putting in the needle and I had that sucker of a bag filled within half an hour. No problemo! And then of course I had to go back to the office with a huge dramatic bandage around my arm, so that everyone would walk by my desk, stop in shock and horror and ask what the hell was wrong with me… I told everyone to keep their pants on, that I “just” donated blood, no biggie, LOL. Wimps! And they work at a medical center! Pfffrrtttt!
