I WILL be turning FOURTY (eeeeek!) in exactly another month!
Seriously? It’s not that I mind getting older perse… Nobody would do me a-ny favors putting me back in my 20′s, trust me. And I don’t particularly have any problem with any specific age… And it’s not that I am starting to feel old or anything… but somehow this 4-0 thing is kind of a BIG number for some reason… It’s that age that always seemed so far off and now, in another month, it’s here…
It’s just weird that I am almost turning 40… just weird… weird… Then again, I guess it had to happen at some point, huh? And I am doing all this stuff that years ago seemed like far away distant future things… visit the orthodontist with The Kid (wasn’t it just a few years ago I had braces myself?), looking at a possible new high school for The Kid (I didn’t graduate thát long ago, did I?), stuff like that…
In your early 20′s that all seems so far off… But then my early 20′s were years ago… Get with the program DutchBitch! Sheesh… Yeah, I guess my galavanting days are over with a long time now… Well, screw that! Life begins at 40, right?
Still weird to soon be able to say “I am 40″…
So brace yourselves, get read-ey! It’s aaaalmost here! Get your party hats out soon! And somebody better slowly but gradually start lighting those cake-candles… There’s 40 to light, ya know…

Well you know what? My experience is that losing weight will do that to you. Everyone thought I looked way younger when I had lost all the weight. So good for you!
