Prematurely bitten
I don’t know what happened to me yesterday… So weird… I think I got bitten by the Spring Cleaning Bug early this year…
I spent my day yesterday doing the regular stuff:
- get up, shower and get dressed
- force convince The Kid to do the same
- make breakfast
- drive The Kid to school
- groceries
- work job #1 and #2 from home
- clean the apartment
- pick up The Kid
- make lunch
- help The Kid with his homework (tons!)
- more housecleaning
- more working job #1 and #2
- blog
- make dinner
- get The Kid to basketball practice
- run some errands
- pick up The Kid from basketball practice
- get home, shower, and settle down for the evening
- and a little more work for job #1 and #2
Then yesterday I suddenly felt the uncontrolable urge to also:
- clear out and clean the kitchen cabinets
- completely reorganize kitchen cabinets
- clean all the windows in the apartment (not something I do weekly, bite me)
- clear out my closet
- take old clothes and shoes (*heartbreak*) to the Salvation Army
- got my sewing kit out to fix a The Kid’s jacket and my umbrella
- clear out the shed downstairs
- reorganize my handbag
- do 2 months worth of administration
- get tax return form done for as much as I can right now
- clean the trash bin (it stinks baaadly)
- clean and reorganize the cabinet with Ms Kitty’s stuff
- 3 weeks worth of laundry and ironing in one go
I think I might have lost the plot…
And what’s the fucking deal with all your limbs and mucsles in your body ripping you a new one after a day like that? You would think that I deserved better than that after a day like that! Sheesh!

It sounds like you are nesting. Sure you’re not in the “family way”?

There is a few things I know for sure and one of them is that THAT is not the case LOL

I love those kinds of days almost as much as I love days when I do nothing of any importance.

I don’t know anyone who cleans their windows weekly. But we had to clean the windows and the door jams when my Oma who lived in Holland came to visit.
Sounds like a nice, productive day!

Cleaning helps me clear my mind. Maybe you needed that?
And I hope you got to relax or that you get to relax (damn time difference!) tonight!

This makes me glad that I’m not the only person in the world doing the spring cleaning early…I was starting to feel like I’d morphed into some insane homemaker! But the good news is when spring does finally hit you and I will be done
Sweet!
