Today is a regular working day as any other (ya know, the usual cra-zey busy insane kinda working day that has become a habit around here at the office) and after that I am hanging out in the medical center for an additional number of hours. Till about 11 p.m.
Cos I am finally getting round to doing a CPR/AED course!
Yeah, this one has been on my To Do List for years and years I am ashamed to admit. My dad had a severe heart attack when he was 37 so I have basically grown up in the midst of heart disease and it’s consequences. Heart failure is what also ended my dad’s life almost 14 years ago. And with The Ex almost dying from heart failure several years ago and The Kid having inherited the gene from his dad that can cause that for him as well in later life, I am waaaaaay overdue doing this course.
Tonight is the night they are going to teach me CPR and handling an AED. And I am glad that I am finally working towards being a certified CPR trainee. And I hereby vow that I will keep it up and do the refresher course every year!
So wish me luck that the CPR doll will be gentle with me!
UPDATE 11.30 P.M.
The CPR doll survived without too much mental damage, course is done, I passed and from now on I’ll pump and blow allaya bitches back to life, if I have to!!! And I have the certificate to prove it. Now it’s time for a well earned sip or two (or ten) of whiskey and then Ms Kitty and I will turn in.
I had such higher hopes for this post when I read the title. You tease.

They do want you to do mouth to mouth after every 30 compressions but the compressions are waaay more important than the mouth to mouth
