He Will Rock You, I Might Smack Him

Yeah, so since pretty much Lady Penelope dropped us off at the airport on Sunday, The Kid has fairly continuously been singing “We Will Rock You”… Like, all the fucking time…

Don’t get me wrong. I am fine with the repertoire of Freddie and his buddies. I like Queen. His choice of a song could’ve been much much worse. I realize that.

Then again… he only pretty much knows the first 2 lines of the chorus… So it’s been pretty much those 2 lines… over and over and over and over and over and over again… for hours… oh, and the drum / clapping routine at the start of the song… he does those too… D-D-Dzzzz D-D-Dzzzz… accompanied by fierce drum arm movements and matching expression on his face… I’ll have to give him that… for hours and hours and hours… over and over and over again…

So I figured, for today… What the hell… I’ll just embrace it, right? You know, before I smack the hell out of The Kid for driving me nuts… Screw the fact that smacking your kid is illegal in Dutchyland… I grew his ass in mah belleh, surely that gives me the right to smack it if he annoys the crap out of me, right?

Tell the Kid you think you’ve paid your dues, time after time, that you’ve served your sentence, but committed no crime … and that he should really pick a new song to sing.
