Remember when I had to guestpost for this bitch? Because SHE felt it was more important to slut around Greece than entertain the likes of her blogreaders? Yeah… My payback was to “pollute” her blog with feet. Cos the chick hates feet (boy, is that woman going to have a hard time staying over at my place for Bitchsterdam as I walk around the house barefeet a.l.l.t.h.e.t.i.m.e! Then again, someone recently told me I have great feet, so she bettah deal! Ha!)

So I did a foot contest on her blog in my guestpost and I still owe the people that entered the results of that contest. Finally, here it is: The results of the My Big Fat GuestPoster Feet-contest!

See this? Those are the pics of my fellow-guestposter feet. I have major dirt on them all so I blackmailed them into handing over a foot pic. They all were so kind to let me have a picture of their feet. Seeing as none of you were completely right (and some of you were to.tal.ly off!), here’s the list. I didn’t think it would be that hard but you guys SUCKED at it!!! And I think I DID make it worth your while. The one that got the (most) right answers, was getting a prize. And as I promised recently on my own blog: the prize will, at the very least, contain Stroopwafels! STROOPWAFELS!! For Gawd’s sake! If Stroopwafels can’t get you to use your brain on a contest, I am afraid for all of you.. What kind of incentive will it take? Sheesh!

OK so, basically Marty got zero right. Brazen Bare Toe and Icy got 1 right, Sybil, Delmer and Metalmom all got 2 right, Lynda got 3 right, and * insert trumpets blaring * Jill got 4 of them right!

I will be sending Jill some Dutch goodies, including Stroopwafels, and the runner up, Lynda, will receive a package of Stroopwafels from me as well. So there, another contest ended with prizes :) Now I am off to take my car to be serviced. Wish me luck…

Time for the contest results of the Schiermonnikoog contest!

Day 1 – the detail I showed you was part of an antique we-don’t-have-a-clue-exactly-what-it-is-but-some-sort-of-antique-cooking-pot-thingy
Day 2 – the detail on the picture is a beam with a iron ring that is on the front of one of the typical Schiermonnikoog houses. It is used to haul stuff up to the 2nd floor of the house.
Day 3 – the “guy” on the picture is at the sign near the entrance of the hotel that keeps telling me they have a specialty dish consisting only of fish and shellfish… blurgghh
Day 4 – the detail shown is of course part of a Heineken sign outside of the hotel. Dutchyland’s most famous beer!
Day 5 – the “40″ on my bathroom mirror was the owner of the hotel trying to be funny. He and I always have a discussion about our ages, him being slightly older than I am, and him always “guessing” I must’ve turned 40 (and fuck him, next year he’s gonna be right). I noticed the 40 on the mirror after having a steamy shower when power went back on on Monday… LOL

Yesterday was Red Nose Day in the UK, today at DutchBitch Casa it will be Red Couch Day!

I had an uneventful trip back from Schiermonnikoog. Astrid, my colleague/girlfriend, and I drove back after getting off the ferry at 3.30 p.m. and encountered no traffic jams (which is a miracle on Fridayafternoon). We did have a slight scare, as my dashboard, about 30 mins into the trip, announced a malfunction to my car. I called my dealership on my mobile (yes, handsfree) and they assured me that even with the malfunction I could drive home and to have my car checked on Monday… (the dealer sounded very upbeat but I am not sure whether that was because it’s a minor problem or he already knows he’s gonna make a bundle on it, urgh). I got hime in time to surprise The Kid at basketbal practise. He told me he knew I was there when he heard the sound of my keychain and keys rattling… Apparently my keys have a sound that stands out from the crowd, lol. He was very happy to see me, and also told me he had a blást at The Mom’s. As they didn’t used to have a very tight bond, I was very happy to hear that and also very happy to hear the feeling was mutual from The Mom’s point of view. Makes being out of town so much easier on the stomach knot-issue..

The Kid and I are gonna spend our day on this:

My wonderful comfy Red Couch near the huge living room windows, where we’ll be catching up on the week, have a drink (probably non-alcoholic for me as I need to de-tox in time for DaveDon), have a snack, watch a dvd, look out the window to sarcastically comment on people outside, make fun of eachother (mostly him of me)… stuff like that. Some quality mother-son time! Gawd I’ve missed him!

OK, time to go back to my Red Couch and spend the day on there. I will be making my rounds along blogs to read up on post I’ve missed and comment here and there and get back into the swing of things after a week of absence. And other than that just reeeelllaxxxxx!

If you see this post up it means that I made it thru the week on Schiermonnikoog… Like Turnbaby commented on my Facebook profile… it’s gonna leave a mark… but ya know… scars are cool, right? I spent most of yesterday trying to keep afloat during the day. After dinner I finally fell apart, got myself a double fresh orange juice (yeah, this girl does not do it the whimpy way, get me a double!), then went up to my room, had a hot steamy shower -with my clothes on cuz I couldn’t be bothered to take them off- and got my ass into the beautiful bridal suite bed, with my laptop and TV and had a “recovery night”… I mean, ya know… a girl’s gotta reboot, especially if in just over a week, she’s expected to repeat the drill in London…

Today I will be spending watching the presentations of the participants… obviously getting myself a good seat to watch the Eye Candy. Then pack all the course stuff and my personal stuff and we’re off to the ferry again to start the journey home. The Kid has spent the week at The Mom’s and by the sound of it I am lucky if I manage to take him home… I think he might choose to continue living with his gran… Grapevine tells me they had an awesome time together… nutballs…

What can I tell ya..? Basically the word here is “Advil” and “Coffee” and “Shut The Fuck Up”… Well, it is in my corner of the course room… Godfuckingdamn’d I am hung over and tired… Going to sleep at 3.15 a.m. when your alarm clock is to go off at 7 a.m. does NOTHING for your state of mind and head and whatever else you  need to function. Especially not when you’ve spent some time with my friend Glen(fiddich) before going to bed… Especially not … shit… I lost my train of thought… I forgot what I was going to say (seriously!)…

I’ll just get on with the Schiermonnikoog Contest – Day 4. Below is a picture with a detail of something that is on the outside of the hotel and I think that the experts on all things Dutch in the alcohol department probably will recognize it. I figured that that would be totally ‘n sync with today’s “feel”, heh…
